About this title
About this title
Echowold is a horror game in which you are blind. The screen stays dark; every sound you make sends out a ring of echo that lights the walls it touches for a moment. Footsteps show a little, a cane tap more, a clap the whole room. Somewhere in the house the music boxes are still playing, and something that cannot see either is listening for you.
- Six nights in six different houses, from the porch to the whole house, plus an endless night with a new house every time
- See by sound: your steps, cane taps and claps light the walls, and the walls you have heard stay faintly in your memory
- It hunts by sound: it comes to every noise you make, its own steps show in red, and your heartbeat speeds up as it gets close
- Sneak, hide in wardrobes, mind the creaking boards, wind the music boxes down and follow the doorbell out
- Tense rather than gory: no blood, no jump-scare flashes; best with headphones
- Keyboard, controller or touch; English and Bulgarian
- Native builds for Windows (64-bit), Linux (64-bit) and Android (64-bit ARM); progress and settings are saved; no ads, no tracking, no internet needed.
Code and text written with AI assistance; checked by PN Scripts with automated tests. Every shape is drawn and every sound synthesised by code; there are no AI-generated image or audio files. Made by PN Scripts.
