About this title
About this title
Galewick is a sailing and trading game. Steer a small merchant ship and set its sails; the wind does the rest. You cannot sail straight into the wind, so you tack, and the ship is fastest with the wind on its side. Buy goods where they are made, sell them where they are wanted, take delivery contracts and grow a fortune before the season ends.
- Real points of sail: a no-go zone, beam reach, running; the wind shifts during the day
- Three seas: steady Saltreach, foggy Amber Isles with a storm, and the Gale Straits with shifting gales and three storms
- Living markets: every crate you buy raises the price, every crate you sell lowers it; prices recover day by day, and news moves them
- Contracts pay for deliveries by a given day; a chart remembers the prices you have seen
- Shipwrights: bigger hold, better sails, a keel that points higher into the wind, a stronger hull, repairs
- Up to three stars per sea and a free-trade mode without an end
- Keyboard, controller, mouse or touch; English and Bulgarian
- Native builds for Windows (64-bit), Linux (64-bit) and Android (64-bit ARM); progress and settings are saved; no ads, no tracking, no internet needed.
