Giftholm

Giftholm is the board game Quarto. Sixteen pieces are tall or short, dark or light, round or square, hollow or solid. You never choose the piece you place: your opponent hands it to you, you put it on the 4x4 board, then you choose the piece they must place. Whoever completes a row, column or diagonal of four pieces that share any one trait wins, so every gift has to be safe. Play a saga of six matches against computer rivals that look further ahead each time, with 2x2 squares also winning from the fourth match, or two players on one screen with either rule. It plays in the browser with a keyboard, mouse or touch.
