Srichki

Srichki is a syllable reading game for children who are learning to read. A picture appears, a fish, a kite or a butterfly, and the child taps its syllables in order to build the word: ри-ба, хвър-чи-ло, пе-пе-ру-да. Six short stages add one idea at a time: two syllables, a spare tile that does not belong, three syllables, long words of four syllables, and finally a missing syllable to find. A wrong tile wobbles back and costs a star, never the game, and every finished word plays a little tune and shows three stars at best. Bulgarian comes first with 38 words; the English set has 26 words split into syllables. Every picture is drawn by code. It plays in the browser with a mouse, touch or keyboard.
