About this title

About this title

Tanglefin is a colour snake arcade game with one twist: Rilla the ribbon eel may swim through her own body, but only where the stripe has her head's colour. Every plankton she eats adds a stripe of its colour behind her head and turns her head that colour. Loop back and cross a stripe of the same colour and the whole stripe pops: she gets shorter, you score and her glow comes back. Cross a stripe of another colour and she tangles. Her glow fades all the time, so keep popping. Chains join stripes of one colour, every tide brings a pick of charms, hazards arrive one at a time (jellyfish, sea urchins, snip crabs that bite her tail and a hungry gulper), four reefs open with pearls, six fins, twelve feats and a daily reef that is the same for everyone. Mouse, touch, keyboard or gamepad; landscape or portrait; music, sound, relaxed glow and vibration settings. Free, no ads, no tracking. Code and text written with AI assistance; every shape is drawn and every sound synthesised by code. Language: English.
