Thrumstep

Thrumstep is a side-scrolling rhythm runner. Every obstacle sits on a beat of a song that the game composes and plays in code: drums on the ground are jumped, speakers hanging overhead are slid under, and each one is also a note in the melody. Every press is judged Perfect, Good or Miss, a combo raises the score multiplier up to x4, and three misses in a row make you fall. Six songs unlock one after another, from 96 to 144 BPM, with eighth-note obstacles in the later ones, and a practice mode plays any song at 75% speed without falling. It plays in the browser with a keyboard, mouse or touch.
