Gablewend is a compact city builder on a riverside map. Draw roads from the highway, zone homes, workshops and markets, and place wells, parks and a school. Settlers only move into homes with a road and water; homes grow into larger houses when citizens have work, goods from a nearby market and are happy, and into townhouses when a school and high land value are close. Taxes fund the monthly budget, and three months in debt bankrupt the town. Overlays show water, happiness and land value. Reach 1000 citizens to win. It plays in the browser with a keyboard, mouse or touch.
